GIS and web mapping software developer, Cadcorp, has made a significant change to way in which organisations can licence its desktop software. With immediate effect, Cadcorp customers worldwide can benefit from an Enterprise Licence Agreement (ELA).

The Cadcorp ELA provides a cost effective option for small, medium and large enterprises to licence Cadcorp SIS Map Modeller desktop software.  The ELA is available as an annual subscription and includes full support and upgrade entitlement.

Cadcorp managing director, Martin McGarry, said "Cadcorp is pleased to roll out this licence model to all business sectors worldwide.  The new ELA provides customers with a cost effective and flexible way in which desktop GIS software can be deployed."

He continued, "It is appropriate that we are announcing the change at the annual conference of the Ordnance Survey Public Sector Mapping Agreement.  Cadcorp's new licence has in part been introduced to meet a demand within Local Government. The new licence model provides an efficient method of corporately deploying desktop GIS and offers a compelling alternative to other suppliers including open source".

The Cadcorp ELA is available to any organisation worldwide, in both public and private sectors.  It applies to Map Modeller - the most functionally rich desktop GIS in the Cadcorp SIS product family. The product can be used in all phases of spatial data handling: preparation, creation, configuration and management, viewing, querying, editing, analysis and modelling.
